Talking Pediatrics Podcast: After the PICU

We are excited to share that Jen Aspengren, Founder and CEO of Alongside Network, was recently featured on the “Talking Pediatrics” podcast. The podcast was hosted by Dr. Kade Goepferd, an 18-year veteran of Children’s Minnesota Hospital who currently serves as the hospital’s Chief Education Officer. This talk was part of a 5-year running series of podcasts which features Goepferd interviewing guests biweekly with a focus on new stories and valuable insights into the world of pediatric healthcare.

During the episode, the two discussed Alongside’s mission to minimize traumatic experiences in pediatric healthcare. They shared stories and insights, both for families and providers. Jen talked about how Alongside works to achive their mission through offerings that include support groups for affected families, as well as resources for both families and providers to better understand and mitigate the stressors stemming from traumatic medical experiences. They also talked about Jen’s personal connection to the organization’s mission, as well as Alongside’s partnership with the Minnesota Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

The conversation was engaging and insightful. We hope you enjoy learning more about this topic and the personal stories of those involved.
