About Our Team

Brenda

Brenda is the mother of three sons and grandmother to five grandchildren located across the country and overseas. When her son was 14 years old, a diagnosis of multiple myeloma led to chemotherapy, a donor stem cell transplant, and a 10-month hospitalization marked by numerous setbacks and complex medical complications. Now ten years post-transplant, her son meets the world with kindness, dignity, humor, and empathy as he studies and works toward a career in IT.

After navigating her son's physical and emotional recovery, Brenda saw how deeply personal experience shapes ones ability to support others. Drawing on these insights, she serves as an Alongside Ambassador to meet families where they are, listen attentively, and foster conversations designed to deepen understanding and connection.

Professionally, Brenda worked in full-time leadership before transitioning into consulting in leadership development and executive coaching. Her professional background in active listening and guiding deep dialogue seamlessly informs her volunteer work with families navigating complex medical journeys.

Outside of volunteering and consulting, Brenda treasures the rare times her family gets to gather across the miles. She enjoys traveling, cooking and sharing good food, and spending time out on the water boating.
