Annie lives in Bend, Oregon, and is the mother of two children. When her daughter was eight months old, a medical error during a routine procedure resulted in a severe brain injury, forever changing the course of their family’s life.

After participating in an Alongside Network support group, Annie experienced firsthand how powerful it can be to connect with parents who truly understand the complexities of raising a child with significant medical needs. She has volunteered as an Alongside Ambassador for the past four years, helping create that same sense of connection and support for other families.

Professionally, Annie works in behavioral health, with a focus on substance use, recovery, peer support, and improving systems of care. Her professional work and personal experiences have shaped her belief in the power of lived experience and meaningful connection.

Outside of work and volunteering, Annie enjoys traveling and exploring new places with her family, spending time outdoors in Central Oregon, attending concerts, and hanging out with her two rescue dogs.
