About Our Team
Jennifer Andrashko, MSW, LICSW
Jennifer Andrashko is a public health social worker with more than 20 years of experience across health care, behavioral health, academic, and policy advocacy systems. Her work focuses on building trauma-informed systems, maternal health equity, rural behavioral health, and advancing equitable systems of care. Jennifer currently serves as Co-Chair of the Minnesota Maternal Mortality Review Committee and is an Associate Professor of Social Work at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Jennifer’s understanding of trauma-informed care is shaped not only by her professional experience, but by her lived experience both as a child within the healthcare system and later as a parent navigating hospital-based care with her own child. These experiences deepened her understanding of the ways vulnerability, uncertainty, communication, and human connection shape healing for children and families. Today, that perspective continues to inform her work at Alongside and her commitment to compassionate, relationship-centered, and trauma-informed care. Jennifer earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Minnesota and lives in St. Peter, Minnesota with her two daughters.
