Dr. Tanesha Johnson, PhD, is an assistant professor within the Psychology Division of Pediatrics at Golisano Children's at UK. Dr. Johnson received her PhD from Saint Louis University in May 2023, completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Florida in June 2023, and completed her post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Kentucky in December 2024. Dr. Johnson has worked with children, teens, and their families in various capacities, including assessment for Autism & ADHD, therapy in schools, traditional outpatient, and inpatient settings, parental management training, and interventions for chronic pain. Currently, Dr. Johnson works as a pediatric psychologist, focusing on Pediatric Hematology/Oncology patient populations with a special interest in Sickle Cell Disease. She also has a love for training providers, community members, and parents about medical traumatic stress. Additionally, she is interested in creating and implementing quality improvement projects within the hospital system, particularly for under-resourced departments.
